My best friend has recently had both kidneys removed due to cancer. He has also undergone prostate surgery last month. All have been done in the course of this past year.
He is having a difficult time finding a good listing telling him what he can eat. He tends to itch and twitch uncontrollably. We figure that it is due to diet.
His diet has to be restricted due to his condition. His diet needs to have no phosphorous or potassium. We are looking to find books that can give some guidance...
Anyone can help with this problem... I would greatly appreciate it. Regards -Denise C

My husband was on dialysis and had these same symptoms. He has since had a transplant and is doing very well. I sent for two very good laminated charts with a phosphorus and potassium food guide. the website is www.consumermedhelp.com Also, the Kidney foundation was a great source of information. We also got recipes from our dialysis center. I hope this helps. The charts mentioned above are called Kidney Helpers.
