Dog - Ear Infection
My 11 yr old wire hair terrier has a chronic ear infection that seeps and irritates the skin. What can be suggested for use? The ear canals are almost non-existent. -Diane

Two people have told me of great success using Colloidal Silver in the ear for stubborn pet ear infections. I'd also consider Probiotics on the food if it were my pet. -Julie Phillips

You can also try adding a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to the Colloidal Silver. Say 2 drops oil to a tsp of the CS. Put this in the infected spot with a Q-Tip or just put it in the ear via a dropper and massage the ear vigorously. -Mike, N.D.

My vet told me some dogs develop chronic ear infections, especially dogs with ears that hang over, I clean his ears three times a week, and still the infection keeps coming back. I have heard Colloidal Silver is good for the problem, so I am going to try it. I know how frustrating this ear problem is, so maybe you should try the Colloidal Silver too, good luck. -Lynn Hull

Natures Sunshine CGB Extract, a few drops in each ear 2 times a day and really massage it in gently. Also put the dog on Astragalus to boost the immune system. Some people have ear candled their dogs ears if you can get the dog to hold still long enough. I have a couple of clients with Golden's that say this works really well. Only once or twice a year is suggested. -Suzanne |
