Eye - Dark Circles

I have a friend who has dark circles around her eyes. She jokes with her daughter and calls this "raccoon eyes." She also experiences severe migraines, especially after drinking coffee. In addition, she cannot look at a computer screen for too long. I forget what she said she was diagnosed with, but she loses some of her eye sight if does. Any recommendations and info on this would be greatly appreciated. -Elizabeth

Work with the clients Kidneys. Kidney Activator, JP-X, and Burdock with Dandelion will help. -Suzanne

I definitely agree with Suzanne on the Burdock. This can sometimes be a liver problem too and Burdock is a blood cleanser. If the person is relatively healthy, cleanse! Also test on the Liver Balance, LIV-J, Liver Cleanse Formula and Milk Thistle. -Mike, N.D.

Dark circles under the eyes usually indicate a kidney problem. -MS

In addition to the herbal recommendations you have already received... I suggest that you look at what you might be eating/drinking... in kidney involvement, it is very important to NOT use any diet sodas or anything containing artificial sweeteners; also, how much water are you drinking (recommended is 1/2 your body weight in ounces every day - and few people do this); what does your urine look like? Also, water should be pure - don't drink tap water and bottled spring water (it usually has high sodium content). -Louise Rosen

Sometimes dark circles can be from lack of good fat in the diet. Flax oil, olive oil, avocado, things like that help. Also allergies are sometimes a culprit. Just thought I'd interject some other possibilities. -Stormie

I see this a lot in people with adrenal exhaustion (including ME!!). Adrenal support and SLEEP and EO's for relaxation are all VERY helpful in reversing this condition. -Sharon Grimes
