Whiplash
Any information on Whiplash? What supplements should be taken? What kind of Dr treatment and how long does it last? Long term effects.

This is an injury that takes a long time to heal. Supplements that will help are Skeletal Formula, Valerian for muscle spasms and Tei Fu Lotion to increase circulation and reduce pain.
Doctors will usually take a rediograph to make sure there are no ruptured discs, prescribe anti-inflammatories and possibly a pain killer. Massage would be helpful. Look for someone who does Cranial-Sacral massage.

See a chiropractor. Medical doctors are not able to adequately treat this kind of condition. Use ice packs to reduce pain and inflammation. Stay away from hot packs until the very last stages of recovery, and then use moist heat only alternated with ice packs. Take MSM capsules and use MSM/Glucosamine cream externally and use the Joint-Ease Pack. The other supplements mentioned are good too but these are the ones I use with very good results. -Duane Weed

Whiplash injury occurs when the cervical spine or neck is forced up and then back very rapidly. Depending on the severity, most injury occurs to the soft tissue structures... the muscles and ligaments and occasionally can affect the spine as well if forceful enough. I would recommend that this person see a chiropractor who has experience with whiplash injuries. Typically the method of treatment in the first two-three days is to simply rest the neck and apply ice for about 15 minutes each time throughout the day. I would also recommend PLS II. After the inflammation has subsided, adjustments will help. Usually there is no long term effects unless it is severe and the time of treatment varies depending on the injury and the response to care.

We have dealt with the long terms of whiplash. We have found that Skeletal Strength, and MSM daily is a good maintenance that can keep attacks from coming on. When an attack does comes on use extra Magnesium and Massage with Lavender, Geranium, and Deep Relief. You see a chiropractor told us that the muscles will over-react to the whip lash strain an pull area even more out of place so if you use magnesium to relax the muscles and then massage it works really well. Remember that stress could cause flair ups also so Nutri-Calm might be in order. -Beth

I have always used KB-C and Nature's Fresh internally along with chiro treatments and it has been incredible. Definitely get the Kava or magnesium to help with stress of muscles also. -Kimberly Balas |
