Make an Impression
Top 10 Ways to Make an Impression!
1. Extend your hand. Extend yourself.
Be sincere. If you are meeting in person, even in a social situation, women do like it when you extend your hand for a handshake. I know many men sometimes wait for the woman to initiate the handshake...and then miss an excellent opportunity for some direct eye contact and a projection of confidence through a firm and friendly!! handshake.
2. Be honest. Listen. Ask an opinion.
Develop rapport by using good listening skills. Open your mind to deeply absorb all the messages you are receiving, verbal, as well as non-verbal. Observe body language.
3. Leave your ego at home.
Impress others with your deeds, instead of your words. Arrogance and rudeness are for losers.
4. Remember your manners.
Even in today's busy and competitive world, manners are what get you remembered.
5. Follow up with a note or a phone call. Within 2 days.
6. Find another reason to call within the next 10 days.
This is where your attention to detail and good listening skills will add to your assets. If you are having a hard time with the details, do the following creative visualization: Close your eyes, take a deep breath, tell yourself to be open to the experience you want to remember, experience the whole experience from the moment you made the decision to go forward, take it one step at a time, your mind is very precise. Your mind will supply you with the information you are looking for.
7. Picture yourself attaining the desired results.
Hear yourself saying "Yes" to yourself. Feel the confidence building power of positive achievement.
8. Have a sense of humor,
BUT keep your sarcastic sense of humor to yourself. Sarcasm can be abusive.
9. Be interesting!
Have a point of view, an opinion and still be open to new experiences.
10. Start over with Point 1.
"Keep it simple, sweetheart" (KISS). The basics win every time.
