Yawning Constantly
My son has recently started having a constant urge to yawn. He is 5 years old and says his body wants to yawn but it won't let him. He has sensory integration dysfunction and I wonder if this is another "symptom" of that. Anyone have any experience with this? -Shari Lyon

Yawning many times means lack of oxygen or bad air quality. Or, low blood sugar. Their may be low oxygen levels in the blood too. A depressed person may yawn more because they are moving less and have tight breathing. The more active a person is the less they yawn because they are breathing deeper and getting more oxygen. Hope this helps give insight on this problem. -Teresa |
