Baby - Probiotics
2 1/2 month old infant that has been on antibiotics. Should she take probiotics afterward? How much? -D

Yes, probiotics would make sense. If bottle fed give in formula if not. Can mix a capsule of Bifidophilus in some water (1 ounce or so) and give with a dropper.
You can advise the mom that she can use colloidal silver to fight bacterial or viral infections for baby.
I used colloidal silver in ears for ear infections and thrush for my child when she was an infant. I got great results and my daughter did not get reoccurring bouts of these ailments. -Lourdes Martinez

Absolutely she should take probiotics. I'm not sure exactly what you have available in the USA (The Canadian product line is quite different), however, you want one that has Bifidophilus in it as well as acidophilus. I usually recommend giving 5 - 10 billion cells x2 per day. Open the capsule and pour a little into baby's cheek. Pouring it right onto her tongue will probably make her gag. Keep pouring it in a little at a time until she's taken the full dose. Sounds like we have a mom who could use my new DVD/video called Healthy Kids, Naturally. It's based on NSP products and gives lots of herbal and nutritional info for children from newborns up to 12 years old. -Judith Cobb |
